Beth Bares is an author and journalist who has written on subjects ranging from sustainability to consumer advocacy to personal finance. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today and other publications. She was a White House Fellow and a lecturer at the University of Missouri–St. Louis during the Clinton administration and is currently the executive director of the Empower America Foundation, which provides scholarships to minorities and women in business and technology.
